In IGaming and not only there are different type of commission
structure and deals. Depending on the value of the Affiliate and also
the need of the Affiliate the most common deals are the following:
1. Revenue Share - The Affiliate will get a percentage of the revenue
generated by his players. Normally, Revenue Share can be paid weekly or
monthly. The Affiliate will earn a lifetime percentage on his players,
that can be anywhere from 20% up to 60%. Some Operators
(Casino/Poker/Betting/Bingo) can also mention that lifetime it’s
debatable. Since an Affiliate can chose to not promote anymore a
specific Operator but still make money on their current players. In this
case, the Affiliate will not earn an more money.
2. CPA - Cost
Per Acquisition. That means when an Affiliates bring a player, the
Affiliate will get a one time payment for every player that deposit
(terms can be different for every Operator). Normally a CPA can be
anywhere from $20 up to $400. A Casino CPA it’s usually much higher than
the rest of the IGaming Products.
3. Advertisement deal - its a
prepaid deal for a specific placement on an Affiliate webpage and for a
specific period of time. This money will not guarantee any traffic, but
the amount negotiated of the advertisement is calculated on the current
traffic of the Affiliate webpage.
4. Link selling - It means that
an Affiliate has a lot of webpages where they can place links of
Operators and get a fixed amount of money for a specific period of time
(this is a very low amount compare to advertisement deal) and does not
guarantee any players.
5. Hybrid deal - its a combination of both Revenue Share and CPA.
6.
Retainer deals - Upfront payment for bringing Players in the future. A
retainer deal is usually combined also with a super-affiliate/affiliate
Revenue Share deal. Which means, if the revenue share deal exceed the
retainer, the difference will be paid. A retainer contract normally
implies also a minimum guarantee amount of players.
7. Prepaid deals - Upfront payment towards an Affiliate for a package of services and guarantees.
Can you think of any other type of deals used mostly in IGaming?
